How to check BECE results on phone
We explain every details on checking both BECE and WASSCE examination results. BECE is an acronym which stand for ‘Basic Education Certificate Examination’ and WASSCE stand for ‘West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination’.
Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE)
The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is the main examination to qualify students for admission into secondary and vocational schools in Ghana, and Nigeria. It is written after three years of junior secondary education. It is administered by the Ghana Education Service (GES) under the Ministry of Education (MOE).
West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
The West African Senior School Certificate Examination is a type of standardized test in West Africa. Students who pass the exam receive a certificate confirming their graduation from secondary education. It is administered by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) headquarters in Ghana, Accra.
Buy BECE or WASSCE results checker

- Dial *944# and select option 1 (Result checker pin). Follow the prompt instruction to buy the result checker.
- 1. Visit https://resultschecker.com.gh with a smartphone or computer2. Choose the card type you want to buy. eg: BECE Results Checker3. Enter the number of cards you want to buy and the amount will be automatically calculated4. Click on “Buy You will be taken to a new screen where you enter your name and phone number (Card details will be sent via SMS to the phone number you enter here)6. Click on “Proceed to Payment”7. On the next screen, choose Mobile Money and enter your MoMo number. You’ll be sent an OTP to confirm.8. Confirm the payment on your phone.9. You will instantly receive an SMS with the BECE Results Checker PIN and Serial and instructions to check.
How to check BECE or WASSCE Results
- Visit the WAEC result checker online portal using the link below.
- https://eresults.waecgh.org
- Enter your index number
- Confirm the index number by repeating it
- Select the examination Type, Example: BECE (school), BECE (private), WASSCE (school), WASSCE (private), SSCE (school) SSCE (private)
- Choose your examination year. This is the year in which you write the example.
- Afterwards enter the result checker serial number and the 12 identification pins on the scratch card that your purchased.
- Click on submit and wait for your result to appear. You can print or download it.
This tutorial apply to both checking WASSCE and BECE.
How to check school placement
1. First visit the CSSPS result checker online portal at or https://www.cssps.org/
2. Then buy the placement checker by selecting buy voucher option on the CSSPS to buy the
Placement Checker card through MTN Mobile Money at a cost of 5GHC
3. After buying the CSSPS SHS placement Checker, click the check Placement Option on the CSSPS
portal
4. Then Proceed to enter your BECE index number and then enter your year of examination by the
following format: if your index number is 1234567890 and the year of your examination is 2022,
then you will input: 123456789022.
5. Afterwards Enter the Serial number and the PIN (Personal Identification Number) found on the
E-Voucher you Purchased online.
6. Finally Click submit to proceed to see your SHS School placement.
