Drugs for Asthma. Here are some drugs for asthma or asthmatic patients and how to use or apply them.
- Fluticasone: Children from 5 – 15 years (50mcg – 200mcg) twice daily.
Adult 16 and above (200mcg – 500mcg) twice daily.
- Ciclsonide: By inhalation of aerosol from 12 years and above 80 mcg – 160mcg once, 320mcg twice daily in severe asthma
- Formoterol fumarate: 6 years and above 12mcg twice daily and 24mcg once daily.
What must an Asthmatic patient do? Below are some cautions or advices for an asthmatic patient:
- Patient must not exceed the prescribed doses
- Patient with pregnancy must take the drugs regularly
- Patient should see or report if symptoms becomes severe after treatment.
